Nora and Hae Sung were deeply connected childhood friends torn apart when Nora and her family emigrated from South Korea. 20 years on, Nora is living in the United States and is married to Arthur, a white American. When Nora learns that Hae Sung has been searching for her, the two rekindle their connection. As they meet each other again the pair struggle to draw the line between who they are and who they could have been.
